Anesthesia

Sedation / general anesthesia

Sedation is a controlled anesthesia method in which the patient is relaxed without being fully asleep; you can hear your surroundings but feel calm, and most patients don't remember the procedure in detail. General anesthesia puts the patient fully asleep and is performed in operating-theatre conditions accompanied by an anesthesiology specialist.

Suitable options are evaluated for patients with dental anxiety, a strong gag reflex or long treatment plans, as well as for children who cannot cooperate and individuals with special needs. The method is decided based on your general health and our anesthesiologist's assessment.

At our clinic these procedures take place in our fully equipped operating theatre with our anesthesiology and reanimation specialist; all vital signs are monitored continuously. Fillings, root canals, extractions, implants and surgical procedures can be completed in a single session, followed by recovery in our observation rooms.
