Zygomatic implants are anchored in the cheekbone (zygoma) when the upper jawbone is insufficient for standard implants. In many patients this eliminates the need for bone grafting and sinus lifting; in suitable cases, fixed temporary teeth can be attached the same day.

Who is a candidate for zygomatic implants?

They may be considered for patients with advanced bone loss in the upper jaw, those who have been without teeth for many years, patients whose previous implant treatment failed, or those who do not want a removable denture. Suitability is determined after a detailed examination and digital planning with 3D tomography (CBCT).

Advanced surgery in operating-theatre conditions

The procedure requires advanced surgical experience and is performed at our clinic by our oral and maxillofacial surgery specialists — under local anesthesia, sedation or general anesthesia in our fully equipped operating theatre, according to the patient's comfort.
