Sedation places the patient in a semi-sleep state with IV medication under an anesthesiologist's supervision. The patient is deeply relaxed and remembers little, yet breathes independently.
It makes treatment possible and comfortable for highly anxious patients, long surgical procedures and individuals with special needs. After a short rest, patients return to their day.
